This course is concerned with equality and diversity in the UK today. You’ll understand more about the meaning and importance of equality and diversity, the impact of prejudice and discrimination and employer and individual rights and responsibilities.

How Explore equality and diversity gets results
Through a combination of factual information and practical exercises you will learn about the different social groupings which contribute to diversity; which social categories are used for classification and what they mean; how individual and social characteristics contribute to diversity; and how to foster respect for diversity, particularly in the workplace.

You will also learn what equality means: where it is important and why. How equal opportunities can be promoted in the workplace and how the law upholds them.
