This course is concerned with safe working practices and how to avoid putting yourself or others at risk.

The course will help you to develop your understanding of the five stages of risk assessment, including recognising hazards and making decisions about any risks that result from them.

The five study sessions are:


	Session 1: The meaning of the terms hazard, risk and risk assessment Session 2: The identification of hazards and those who may be harmed Session 3: The process for the evaluation and control of risks Session 4: Systems used to record, review and revise risk assessment Session 5: Regulations requiring risk assessments
